On the occasion of International Women\u2019s Day, the Department of Sanskrit, University of Mumbai, organized a self-defence workshop exclusively for women students. The session was conducted by Renuka Panchal, senior black belt of the International Go-Jyu-Ryu Karate-Do Association and assistant professor at the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop aimed at empowering women with basic yet effective self-defence techniques and fostering confidence and awareness. Renuka Panchal skillfully demonstrated practical moves rooted in traditional martial arts while also addressing psychological aspects of self-protection and presence of mind in adverse situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
