Five MA courses to be offered from the academic year 2023-24 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) MA in Sanskrit (with 7 specialization options- Veda, Vedanta, Vyakarana, Alamkara, Classical Sanskrit Literature, Arsha Mahakavya and Puranas, Pracin Bharatiya Rajaneeti) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) MA in Classical Sanskrit Literature<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) MA in Yogashastra <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

4) MA in Arthashastra<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5) MA in Epics and Puranas<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Eligibility- For Course no.1-<\/strong> 1. B.A. Sanskrit or Students who were offered at least two papers in Sanskrit      carrying 200 marks at Undergraduate level<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Graduation in any faculty + Entrance Examination<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Note-Those who are graduated in Sanskrit need not appear for this entrance exam)<\/strong> applicable for MA Sanskrit<\/span>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 For Course no. 2 to 5- <\/strong>Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty + Entrance Exam<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date of entrance examination: 7th July 2023 (tentative)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrance examination of total 200 marks <\/strong>will be taken as per the following pattern-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 1 and 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paper I<\/strong>– Unseen Translation- 100 marks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paper II<\/strong>– History of Sanskrit Literature- 100 marks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 3 to 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

50 mcqs of 2 marks each- 100 marks (100 mcqs to be uploaded on site in advance)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essay on ‘My intention of joining this course’- 50 marks<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viva\/ Interview<\/strong> – 50 marks<\/p>\n\n\n\n
