      This course is meant for beginners who want to learn Sanskrit from the basics. This course focuses on spoken Sanskrit as well as basic grammar of the language. It is seen that students can read, write and understand simple Sanskrit by this course. This course can be joined by anybody who is interested to learn Sanskrit and standard Xth is the basic eligibility of this course. Course is run on every Saturday between 1.30 p.m. -5.00 p.m. Duration of the course in one year and exam shall be conducted in the month of April.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

        7.Certificate in World Mythology (online)<\/p>\n

        conducted by the Department of Sanskrit, University of\u00a0Mumbai is a sequel to a one-of-it-kind, pioneering\u00a0programme that was first offered to students in 1989 and was called PG Diploma in Comparative Mythology.\u00a0Over the last three and a half decades, the course had evolved continuously to reflect developments in the\u00a0discipline and its allied fields and the needs of learners\u00a0in a rapidly changing world. One of the remarkable achievements of the programme was that it has been\u00a0successful in attracting a diverse cohort of learners from across the globe \u2013 from young people to senior\u00a0citizens, from doctors and engineers to lawyers and businesspeople and from researchers and teachers to\u00a0entrepreneurs and homemakers.The new programme will be conducted online and not\u00a0only encompass a study of purakatha from the Indic subcontinent and mythologies from across the world\u00a0but also draw upon allied disciplines like archaeology,\u00a0arts and architecture, philosophy, religious studies,\u00a0gender studies and culture studies to help learners in\u00a0developing a holistic understanding of the stories that\u00a0our ancestors told and their contemporary relevance\u00a0and manifestations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
